Shockwave

What is a shock wave?

Shock wave is a high energy sound wave that works at the cellular level to release proteins that initiate the body’s own healing process.

When should we use it?

  • Joint Arthritis
  • Chronic back or neck pain
  • Soft tissue lameness
  • Bone healing
  • Partial cruciate ruptures that are not candidates for surgery
  • Lick granulomas
  • Post trauma healing

“Shockwave uses high energy sound waves that act on a cellular level to decrease pain and inflammation and help re-initiate the healing process. This non-invasive regenerative option is safe and effective, and symptom relief could last 6 to 12 months. Treatments only take about 10 minutes and usually requires 3 treatments total every 2-3 weeks. This therapy is a great alternative option to treat arthritis, ligament or tendon trauma or chronic pain.”

It is not a new technology

It has been used in human and veterinary medicine for over 20 years. It is a safe and effective non-invasive treatment with 15 years of research. For humans – FDA approved for tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and diabetic foot ulcers

What does it do? How does it work?

It decreases pain and inflammation, speeds healing of bone, soft tissue and tendon/ligaments, increases blood supply, and recruits stem cells to the area.
